Oooooh, Jordan is pressing her butt up against her stall door and kicking out, like the pressure is increasing! It can't be long now! Mind you, the last time I thought that, the mare didn't foal for another two weeks....
Oh my gosh, oh my gosh! I bookmarked the sight and now I must go there. Amazing! I love this website that you have. The horses are so beautiful! Gotta go now..........Jordan is licking her belly and I can almost see movement along her side now. It is really funny how a human can sympathize with a horse! I instantly remembered how huge I felt when I was ready to give birth to my daughter!!! I was munching on some salad and then woah! I was off to the hospital.
Rosa is doing an awful lot of belly kicking too. Clearly both mares are uncomfortable - imagine dealing with TWO mares foaling tonight? Busy. sleepless owner!!
They are beautiful horses and my first thought was that they were draft horses but they aren't that big though they have some of the draft horse features. Look at it this way, we can watch the Gypsy Vanner mares and once they're done we can probably switch to the eaglecam in Iowa.
Today Jordan has white milk. She seems absolutely ready.
Rosa is testing five squares on her milk strips with a slight drop in PH but nothing to get excited about.
We now have an audio foaling alert on the site. There is a link to the alert on the stall cams page. Open the box and leave it open to receive the audio alert when we have a mare foaling. You can have the barn audio and the foaling alert open at the same time. I would suggest if you are resting or away from your computer that you close the barn audio and turn your volume up. Otherwise the barn noises might wake you. These mares can get noisy at times.
Let's all hope for a new baby in the barn tonight.
Hope you all have a good night.
Jordan is doing a lot of pacing and throwing her hay around. Hopefully tonight!!
