It's molting time!

It seems like I've been finding more and more feathers on the lining of the birds' cages or even on the ground these last few days.

No one looks particularly bad, but there's definitively loss of feathers going on.

I guess it's molting time.
I've been collecting the nicer feathers that I have found and already have quite a few of them.

Anyone else has birds who are molting right now??

Yes, all three have been molting for a couple of weeks now.

Nala has been molting for about 2 weeks,found lots of feathers these past two days. Simba is molting but on a smaller scale.

Yoshi is a major pin head right now! Worst part is she doesnt let me help her, and it drives me crazy when they are sticking out

Miss Pixel has been molting for FIVE WEEKS now :straightface: started her on featheriffic a week ago and it seems to be speeding things up.

Twinkie started molting in January and seems to have stopped at a partial molt. Kinda strange.

We're in the beginning stages of molt here! I swept up a dustpan full of feathers today, then spent time with each of my birds working on their pins.

Yep I have molters here too. Pretty's molting has seemed to really of kicked in good just the last couple of days. Snowy has a pretty good pin head and Gwen has been molting for acouple weeks now.
When I was at the rescue last Sunday the lady was mentioning how it seems to be a bad year for molting.

No, there are times where it seems to wane, but he seems to be in overdrive mode more often than not.
