Is it just me? I see so many more pluckers than I see full feathered birds. What do you think?

Murphy is a plucker, and I think for me it's just increased awareness, not that there's necessarily more pluckers than full feathered birds.

I think they also stand out more, when we see a "normal" feathered bird that's just "normal", whereas when we see pluckers it sticks out more.

I honestly think a lot of it has to do with genetics- I’ve only ever seen a few birds in real life who plucked and all of them were in the vet clinic over the last few years. In all my life I’ve never once had a bird who plucked or known anyone with a plucked bird. I was honestly shocked when I first joined here to read how common it was for others.
