This forum is for advice about initial treatment given to your injured/sick bird until a qualified avian veterinarian is available. THIS IS NOT MEANT TO REPLACE VET CARE
For a while I have noticed a small white spot on the very tip of Macho's beak. I looked it up and it sad it could be fungal or even cancer???? Mom and dad said it could be also from rubbing his beak against the cage bars??
(It is not the sunlight, sorry it is upside down! )
I am not a vet, but from the picture it looks like he has either been rubbing his beak to much on hard surfaces or has banged it. Does it seem sore to touch?
Looks like he banged it at one point. If they hit their beak hard enough it can turn white although it takes a while to show. Once it turns white it takes quite some time for them to grow it out but he will. My BG's white spot took almost a year.
