I'm sorry Miguel. Yoshi didn't have a chance.

How did that dog get to her?

She was on top of her cage, while I was in the front yard working on a project. The sliding door was open about 3-4 inches, enough to fit her muzzle through. I guess she slid the door so she could get through, and probably spooked Yoshi. It was a careless mistake of mine to leave her out her cage unattended. Unfortunately, I have learned and I hope that everyone who reads this also learns from my terrible mistake. Thank you all for the kind responses

Thanks for the answer Miguel. Dogs and birds just don't mix.

Think of Yoshi often she loved you.

I am so sorry for your loss. :sadhug2:

I once lost a budgie when I was younger to the family dog, it's a horrible thing to happen.
I'm sure Yoshi is flying high at the Rainbow Bridge.
Fly free, baby girl. :sorrow:

I also agree with @saroj12, it would be best to wait till you're financially independent or to save up a vet fund yourself before getting another bird. They really are a huge responsibility, both financially and emotionally.

Again, I'm so sorry for your loss.
