I went to meet the ringneck yesterday...

And I'm in love I'm hoping to be able to bring home home next week.

I was so enthralled by him I didn't think to take any pictures, but he's a total sweetheart. I held him for about fifteen minutes, and by the end he was giving me kisses and preening my hair. I didn't want to leave without him.

He's a little scruffy looking, but definitely not plucked.

he might be molting. ring necks look very very scruffy to the point of downright pluckers when they molt. it's all worth it though when they are done, they look like stuffed animals

oh wait you know this, rain is part of the ring neck family

Yep. Scruffy moults are something I understand. My poor Rain's having a rough one.

I'd forgotten how much smaller she is than an IRN. When I picked her up after going to see him she felt sooo little!

Aww poor little Rain I can't wiat to see your new IRN! I am so excited for you! I am anxious to see what Rain will look like standing next to the IRN because I have been curious on the size difference. It will be a while before I can see that I am sure but it will be worth the wait =)

Congratulations! I fostered a female Indian Ringneck once (she was abandoned in an empty house, lucky to survive the heat.) Once she settled in and started trusting people, she really showed what a sweetie she was!
