What a wonderful site! Hoping to gain a lot of information about my Eclectus parrot (I adopted her three months ago) and share my experiences over the years I have owned parrots. I have had several Amazon breeds in the past (an Orange Wing & a Blue Front) as well as a Grey (Timneh), and a Mynah Bird back in the early 70's. My current feathered friend was kept as a breeder until she did in two males and her owners were anxious to sell her off. The lady who bought her turned out to be allergic to her and consequently gave her to me. When I got her she had plucked all but her head feather off. She was completely naked but now her feathers are growing back in. Anyway . . . . really looking forward to participating on this forum!
