I just saw the funniest little parrot! :-)

I just visited a bird store I'd never been in. Lo and behold they had the funniest little guy there: a curl crested aracali! OMG, I want him! Here's a link to see what they look like. I'm still smiling about him!

Wow he is strikingly gorgeous. I would have a hard time feeding nestlings to it though, even if that is what it needs. I would want to find an alternative to the nestlings.

I think they're primarily fruit eaters, but in the wild they have been know to eat nestlings.

Don't have to feed it nestlings (yuck). Sounds like an option.

His 'hair' looked like tightly kinked pieces of shiny plastic. Everything thing about him was adorable! These birds have a LOT of energy and apparently need an outside aviary to thrive.

What colorful, beautiful birds they are... and those BEAKS! Wow. Reminds me of the Little Red Riding Hood story... "My, what a big beak you have there Curly"!
