so I'm currently training my Rosy-faced Love Bird named Leo and its been pretty fun, hes still afraid of hand though and wont perch, I have moved him into a new room after an incident with my dog and his cage is all set up and hes ready to go in, only problem is that he wants to stay in my bookshelf. its almost his bedtime and so i need to get him back into his cage but I dont want to grab onto him to risk scaring him and losing trust,he wont perch on anything and wont go into his cage by himself so I have no idea what to do because letting him sleep on my bookshelf isnt really an option. Ive read somewhere to throw a warm towel over them grabbing them and putting him in the cage but I fear that will scare him, thoughts?

I would put a millet spray in his cage, and then leave the door open. He will most likely go into the cage in order to eat the millet, and then you can close the door.
