Pictures Hurt canary foot, what is wrong?

Can anybody identify what is wrong with my canary's foot? He's been standing on his other leg except when im nearby, and even then he barely puts the hurt one down without lifting it back up again. His back "toe" won't grasp the sticks. It's clearly hurt. I just noticed it yesterday, and it was not there the day before. It looks like it's dark in a few spots under the skin.

He should see a vet. I can't say for sure if it's broken, necrotic, infection, etc. But it looks like something he should be seen by a veterinarian for.

Vet now! Looks like the tissue is dying. And, his talons need trimmed, he may have caught them on something resulting in his injury.

Avian Vet ASAP his nails are way too long.
