I change out the water daily with purchased purified water and weekly clean the reservoir base with vinegar and their little brush to remove any crud.
Last night I noticed black thready looking slime mold in the bigger one.YUCK!!!!!!!!!! I didn't run either of them until I could tear them down and bleach the reservoirs and vinegar out the bases. What mess. The reservoirs are sitting in bleach water along with all the little bits like directional flow top, caps and other pieces that sit in the water.
I let the reservoirs soak a good 20 minutes and double rinsed them. They are sitting in front a box fan to dry a bit. I'm letting the bases dry too.
Does anyone else have problems with ultrasonic humidifiers?
