Soooo Peaches finally got spayed today. She took us by surprise and went into heat the day before we scheduled her to get spayed in the fall So we waited a bit...

But she is NOT a happy camper. Gosh I wish I didn't work tonight so I could snuggle my little E-collared doggie. On top of it- the vet recommended getting her back declaws removed because those are the ones that usually get caught on things... and hers were really flimsy.

Needless to say- I've spent about $1000 at the vet this week. I told them I'd keep 'em in business!!!

I know what you mean about the money! When it rains it pours. Merlin has to go back next week to have his uric acid checked again. Winnie's bladder stone surgery is going to be $1800-$2075! Yikes!! But, she should be ok and feel so much better once it's done.

I hate the Ecollars too. She keeps pawing at it and then looking at me as if to say "Aren't you going to DO SOMETHING!?"

Vicki- there's no price for love The other dogs were so upset when I came back this morning without her. They're pretty upset she's in her crate now. She's normally the life of the party! Keeping her "still" for a week is going to be TOUGH!

I'm off on Thursday and Friday so she will NOT leave my side!!! I think she might even go with me to go visit Crystal and pick up Elvis on Friday!

Well.. the vet said MINIMUM 2 days till we can take the bandages off her hind legs. OPTIMALLY 7 days for her to heal... but I really doubt that will happen. We'll try but since we're home all the time with her... I dunno

Her daddy just came home and showered her with love and said "HOW COULD MOMMY DO THIS TO YOU?! I won't let her do anything terrible to you again... "

lol... he loves that little stinker. He took tomorrow off so he can be with her in the morning while I'm sleeping after working my shift tonight. Whatta great daddy!!

Poor little mite! We had our last dog spayed and tried her without the collar first. She tried to lick the wound a couple of times, but responded to No really well. We didn't use the collar at all. I was home with her though. How long does the collar have to stay?

Aww, it probably feels like too much for a lil pup.. but when you have mummy and daddy there there's nothing better then lots of cuddles to take her mind off of it.
