Welcome! There's a vast majority of species of parrots, some are relatively quiet like budgies or green cheek conures, others are deafening like sun conures, macaws, cockatoos. All are fun though!!

"Loud" is a relative thing...Milton's vocalizations don't bother me...he's a U2. Buddy the Nanday's vocalizations are much more shrill...sometimes he does annoy me with them...

LOUD is a subjective term (keep learning that one, over and over!) My Sunday Conure and Blue-crown Conure are LOUD (I was told Duchess, BCC, wasn't loud.) while my GCC is very quiet, but I've been told that GCCs are very loud. I was told that budgies make quiet chitter chatter, then I got Tommy and they're LOUD. So, you see, it's all perspective and interpretation.

Sorry for the lack of definitive answer, but it really depends on the individual bird. I normally recommend some rescue time, but remember, every bird and every person are different!

Welcome, Luna. Yes, parrots are loud, but you get use to it. Even my budgies were loud chatterboxes.
