Hi Everyone ! We're new here, and I've been reading some of the posts ! I have a new baby..named Rainbow ! We're not new to birds, but he's new to us. Not sure if he, and I SAY he... is a male or female, but I'm leaning towards a male coz he's not even 4 months old yet and hes saying a few phrases, wolf whistles, and is currently, as I sit here typing, on what I call one of the learning rants where all kinds of stuff comes out ! Singing, whistling, and talking all rolled up into his gibberish ! My granddaughter named him ! What do you all think...sound like a male to you ? We've had both, and have NEVER had one start talking this early !! I'll post a pic of him as soon as I can. He's a whiteface Cockatiel , hasn't had the first molt yet of course, so the sex is yet to be determined ! We just love him to bits

Rainbow sounds like a cock to me, although there are those few talking and whistling hens, like our Queen of the Universe, Samantha! Whiteface mutations if they are hens still develop those stripped tail and spotted wing feathers upon sexual maturity. I am betting he will lose any stripped feathers he has in his tail, though.
