Help with live stream video?

How do I set up a live stream video like Saroj had on LScoot?? I've looked into it a bit but apparently I'm missing some crucial information because I don't seem to be getting it

Do I need a computer in my room to set it up? Can I use just a regular webcam instead of buying some fancy security camera?? Help!

1. laptop or pc

2. Logitech webcam (mine is Pro 9000)

3. Free account on UStream.com

Load webcam software on laptop -- 2 minutes
plug in cam into usb port -- 1 nanosec

make acct on ustream -- 2 mins

press Go Live button on ustream...good to go

any webcam will work, even the one built into your laptop...
logitech is best

it claims to be broadcasting, then only the load screen stays there and the video never appears
