I am in dire need of a new camera (can you tell from all my blurry pics?!)

I'd prefer it to be a point and shoot- something simple. I'm definitely no pro. I just want to take nice, CLEAR pictures of my birdies.

What are your favorite camera's for us simple folks?!

I currently have a Canon Powershot SD1100 IS

Well.. I'd prefer not to go too far over $300 but will make exceptions for the right camera

Everyone is commenting positively about my GF's new compact - a Sony DSC-TX5. She's taking some really fantastic, sharp, photos :D

Not sure how much it costs over there, but worth checking out.

I have to agree with this. I am totally in love with the Sony Cybershot DSC series! I had a cybershot DSCT90 and broke it by dropping it down a flight of stairs. I was really upset as I have been through 4 different point and shoot cameras in the past and that was by far the best one.

Upon camera shopping it was persuaded to buy the newest canon powershot SD1400 IS. I absolutely hated it. Grainy grainy grainy...even more grainy when you hit the zoom. I returned it within a few days.

After using the Sony DSCT90, no other point and shoot cameras satisfy me. I went to get the DSCTX9 but the price was $599 because it had the water-proof feature (for shooting under water). I figured when the heck would I need that feature :hehe: so I ended up getting the newest version of my old camera.. Sony Cybershot DSCT99

I have the one in black. I love it. Was $299 at best buy.
