Aloha! I'm not a bird owner yet but I will be getting my budgie soon I have done tons of research for about five months and I think I'm ready! My cage is ordered and I should be able to go get my new budgie friend Ziggy next week! Does anyone have any tips on getting a budgie?

Some tips with budgies are
. If you have a mirror they may not talk to you
. It will take him a long time to get used to you and his new home
. Budgie love rye grass but to much is bad for them same with dandelions

More tips

Budgies love mirrors, especially males.
They also love swings, millet, music, shredding toys and balsa wood.

They thrive with a cage mate.

Not all male budgies talk. The one I have does not.

Hang wet greens in the cage using a bag clip. Dandelion greens are highly nutritious. Best to be organic.
