Hello Everyone!

Hi! I currently don't have a bird, but I have been looking into them and wanting one for about 3 years now. Luckily, I am now looking into hopefully getting a bird in the next month, or at least before the end of the year. Thanks to this forum I've learned A LOT about many different species of birds (especially the good, the bad, and the ugly posts/pages!), so thank you to everyone who is posting on here, it's really helpful to new bird owners. Because I've been looking so much into getting a bird I figured I may as well make an account here if I have any questions in the future about birds and so that I can get a little more comfortable posting here and whatnot (I've also never been on a forum either). I'm a little shy and I'm not always the best at checking digital messages and whatnot, so if I don't reply, post, etc... for a while I'm most likely just living my life and have not had time/forgotten to check or post here for a bit.

Honestly, more accurately I've been looking into and wanting a bird for about 3 years now. I got really interested in getting one 3 years ago but my parents hadn't really been up for it until I brought it up again recently and they weren't really that opposed it surprisingly! I'm glad though that they had me wait because now I've gone into a lot more in-depth research about different birds and even how much I would need to save up in order to have a bird, including the cage, the vet visit(s), the actual bird, as well as other needed supplies. Right now I've been looking into getting either a parrotlet, as shown by my current profile pic :3, or a conure (most likely a green check cause their a little quieter but I'm still pretty open to a sun conure)

Parrotlets are the best! I'm not biased at all... Welcome to the site! Feel free to ask any questions you have, there's sections on the different species where you can get specific info on them. Personally, I know nothing about conures, but I'm happy to tell you all about the many joys and frustrations of living with a parrotlet.
