I was going to start a thread thanking the AA community for being such a diverse mix of younger and older people, from different places, backgrounds, life-styles and beliefs. Since it's also AA's birthday I will say that I've enjoyed being here for the short time I have been and hope to hang around as long as I can type and have a working computer.
To the Admins and Mods I'd also like to say (at the risk of being called a soft-soaper/brown-noser) thank you for being as patient as you have been when it comes to pushing the envelope with language, attitude or risque behaviour. Now you just need to think about re-doing the inside of Marie's shed before winter gets here and please make sure that the walkway is shovelled ...
Note: I was lucky enough to find AA through someone who'd been told off after he'd mentioned wild bird videos he'd filmed in Australia. At the time I was looking for another website because the one I'd been on for 2 years was going through a lot of bickering, back-biting and meanness and nothing much was being done about it other than flat out banning.
I am happy with AA, not only for the bird info but for the all-encompassing companion animal sections, the humour and the people sections. Maybe if you were a "one-eyed one-horned flying purple people eater" you might feel left out.
