Some hairdryers have teflon in them, so check that out. You can call the manufacturer to find out if there is or isn't teflon in it.

Again my hairdryer is so old it was made before teflon (BT).

I know that Conair has stated none of their dryers contain PTFE/PFOA. The hardest part is finding a non ionic one... I couldn't. I just use mine in the kitchen with the hood fan on and I've had no issues
