I agree. Both greys are beautiful & I was trying to decide which I liked better. I think the one of Ella May wins because I got a chill when I looked into her eye. In a painting. How is that possible?

I'll probably have to surprise my husband with one of Roxanne after we get her (and once her neck feathers have a chance to grow back. A girl's gotta look her best. )

Happy to say Greg, for the most part, is finished. After his drying period his tabletop will be completed in a faster drying acrylic and he will receive some touch ups and edging.



He even made some friends while he was here!

I'm running around trying to find that post card. I know I have so many show lights that it creates shadows from all angles... but did he have boobs?

Are we referring to the many shadows on the canvas? They were on the postcard. I can whiten those out if you like when it dries.

The banana leaves also have more detailed edges but those aren't showing up in the photo. I will take a brighter picture in a bit.

I love the shadows but maybe the second one is a bit much. Lighten the second one ( one closer to the middle of the canvas ) and lose the nipple on just the second one maybe ?

Do what you think is best. I'm sure taking pictures of the picture that's a picture is not an accurate representation. This is the boob looking shadow to me "arrow below". The other shadow, even with the nipple appears normal to me.



Which would you like next? GW or Military?

I'll get to these changes tonight and hope to post updated photos in the morning. Those shadows are acrylic so that's not going to affect Mr Greg and his drying time.
