Goodnight Teddy & a Warning for all!

I just got a call from someone who purchased one of my babies and I was told the little one, named Teddy, passed away this weekend. The owner brought him into bed with her and in her sleep, she rolled over on him and she didn't realize this until she woke up the next morning and found him dead. This was heartbreaking for all of us and I just wanted to share the memory of little Teddy. And give a warning to all please do not let your bird sleep with you in bed!

It must be so hard and heartbreaking to know that you are the cause of your beloved bird's death and my heart goes out to her.

We will miss you Teddy. He was such a sweet bird and I remember raising him, seeing the first time he ate some solid foods, and his first flight like it was yesterday. Flight high Teddy <3

I am so very sorry. Teddy was stunning! Poor little guy. I hate to say it but that was a very stupid pet owner. It infuriates me to hear stories like this! If they're not sure about doing something with their new baby all they have to do is ask!
Prayers and blessings for little Teddy tonight. He did not deserve this...

Thank you for your kind words. It was very sad and he did not deserve death at all. She was a terrific owner and spoiled him endlessly and regrets that mistake. My heart goes out to her and unfortunately, I know the pain and regret you feel after the death of a sweet innocent little baby.
Fly high little Teddy <3 He was a bundle of joy and I enjoyed raising him.
Even though he did not pass away under my care, the sadness and pain I felt was like he did.
He would have been one year old in a few days </3

I wanted to cry when I read this. My heart is breaking for You and Teddy. I've read about human babies dying this exact same way. I just don't understand how people can think sleeping with ANYTHING so small and helpless is a good idea. I'm sorry for ranting. It just gets my hackles up big time.
