I have 2 males who strut their stuff, and show off there beautiful feathers. They are easy birds to keep and aren't as demanding as parrots. I shall try and post some images of them in the aviary. They enjoy the grass longer and hide amongst it to have sleeps during the daytime or when it get hot. They have sand and DE dust bathing facilities. They eat a lot of the grass and weeds it is a substantial portion of the diet. Golden Pheasants aren't noisy or aggressive unlike some species of pheasants and don't make huge holes in the ground. There home is 10 metres long, 4 metres wide and 2.1 metres high. I have a garden chair in there and often throw then special food treats. Anyway that's my outdoor birds.
