I'm not much on memorial poems, but photos I do have! This is how I remember those I have loved. So here is Gimli.Day one. I brought him home November 2010. A scruffy little Zon, in a old itty bitty cage. A rescue I was going to foster. He never left! I can't believe it's been over 2 years!

His first steps out of it in over 30 years.

and his first wing stretch! Not much...but he did better in the days that followed.

It didn't take long for my new ratty zon to blossom into this beauty!

Getting sassy with Solomon!

and hanging out with Sweden.

My overtures towards him are accepted! Such a thrilling day for me.

and how I'll always remember him. Full of spunk and spirit, yet so gentle and soft.

All I have left are photos and memories. But the memories are good, and the photos make me smile. I also know, that there's a B&G up there who will welcome you, and show you around. Fly free with your old friend.

That cage was so small, incredible that he could live in there as long as he did. He was incredibly lucky to be adopted by you. He knew happiness in the end.
