I found out that my little parakeet's absolute favorite game to play is to have me spread out a bunch of different colored pencils and pens, and to let her run across and throw the colored pencils around. It's quite sweet, and she will get in a small tug a war with me over them. I don't think it would be good for larger birds, as they could quickly destroy the pens and pencils and that could be dangerous for them.
It's also fun to observe which colors your litttle guy chooses! I learned that Delilahs favorite colors are yellow (#1), blue (#2), and pink (#3). Here's a picture of her happily playing with her yellow pencil:
