fresh papaya

Yesterday I got mango and papaya. I usually buy just mangoes, but I saw really nice looking papayas and decided to give it a go.

Here's what the birdies thought of it:

As you can see Lino LOVED it

but Ringo...not so much

she's more of a mango girl

its the complete oposite with my sunni. we got her papaya and she took one bite and threw it at me and went and washed her beak off lol..

Papaya is one of THE best fruits you can give!! If I could choose only one fruit to feed ever, it would be papaya. Raptor loves it both fresh and dried, Mika will only eat it dried.

I don't like papaya so I've never given it to my lot...must offer some soon. My lot have started to enjoy persimmons...convenient as we have a tree.

Lino will put everything and anything in his beak...didn't come across of food or toy he didn't like. Ringo isn't like that She has opinions

Usually I come across sad looking papayas, so I don't buy them. Instead, I buy mangoes Papaya, mango and berrie (raspbery, blackberry, blueberry) type fruits are the best you can feed.

LOL that's like Rocco. He despises fruit! He will take a bite, spit it out, run around screaming his head off at me and then wiping his beak like I put something horrifying on it!

Sometimes a bird that doesn`t care for the flesh, will LOVE the little black seeds. They are peppery tasting.

I didn't know I can give them the seeds from papaya so I threw them away

yea i know but unfortunately sunni isnt having it with payaya she hates it. but i still give her cantelope which is loaded with a lot of vitamin A and i also include a lot more things like vitamins and others things to fill the gap on her nutrition. she reminds me of a lil kid that doesnt want to eat her veggies lol

Those are great pics! We enjoyed some papaya here as well! The fids enjoyed everything but the skin, and I enjoyed just the fruity part in my smoothie! Yum! They seem to be in season so I'll try to pick one up when I can, I've heard they are one of the fruits highest in natural enzymes! Very good for their digestive system.
