Nova Flew Out The Back Door, Through My Garage, Tuesday 25th At 2pm. Nova Is Chipped And Banded. She Was Last Seen Down Rigsby Near Foster Rd. If Anyone Has Heard Random Calls Or Seen Her At All Please Let Me Know. Her Distinguishing Marks Are The Missing Toes On Each Foot, She Lifts Her Wings Up To Be Petted Under Them, She Loves Being On Her Back And SHE DOES NOT EAT LIKE AN ADULT BIRD, She Eats Whole Chunks And Bobs Them Down Like An Infant. Also Id Really Like Her To Be Everywhere, So Im Trying To Spread Her Like A Wild Fire Please Pass This Along To Anyone You Know. The More People Know The Higher My Chances Of Getting My Little Girl Back. Thank You...

I'm so sorry to hear about nova, I hope she is home soon

I highly recommend doing up a flyer with a clear picture of her and do a letterbox drop as far as possible so you can let every nearby household know. If she was fully flighted go further than you think she may have gone as a strong flyer can make a lot of ground in a short time.
Also let every nearby vets office and animal shelter know.

If the police stations in your area have animal control officers, contact/leave flyers at the local police station(s), leave flyers at pet stores, rescues, vet offices and shelter (whether they take birds or not). Since you're in TX, also leave flyers at feed/animal supply stores. If you have official rescues in your area, contact them and ask about any unofficial rescues run privately. I know of at least 1 AA member who runs a rescue and a friend who does the same - both out of their houses. Sometimes word of mouth gets a found bird to an unofficial rescue. My thoughts, hopes and prayers (and those of my companion birds) are with you and Nova.

I'm sorry this took so long to post, I kept locking myself out of my account with incorrect password attempts .
UPDATE: Nova was returned at 11 pm by a police officer that lives 2 streets away from me, she was found Wednesday night, on his back porch playing with his dog. She was out in the cold front that came in Tuesday night and she was soaked when he found her, she's on her way to the vet for an examination right this second, 3:30 appt. As far as I can tell she's fine but I'd rather be safe than sorry (mistakes have been made before) but she's home safe and happy. She's been biting since she got home though, when she's never bitten before so I'm thinking something happens but it's a miracle she's home and I thank God for returning her.
