Hi I found this injured bird from a cat attack. I have pictures attached. Does this bird need a bandage of some sorts for his wing? I suspect he or she is a pale headed rosella or blue cheeked rosella.

He is not keen on flying but wants to stay on me most of the time. He is eating and drinking water. He's very friendly.

I extended his wing and there seems to be no break in the rest, just his skin showing in the picture. 20231112_190510.jpg 20231114_101340.jpg

He needs to see an avian vet or a wildlife rehabber- when they have had skin punctured by cats they really need to be administered antibiotics. If that is bone sticking out the wing then infection is very very likely as well as some serious pain (which birds will hide till they are literally about to die) so if nothing else some antibiotic and pain killer is needed

How are you getting on there @Lennox2323 ? Did you find a vet or local rehabber?
