This was a post I had hoped to never write for a long time after Rio passed. We woke up this morning and Peg was gone. I do not know what happened. I don’t know what we did wrong. She was dropped off this morning at Phoenix Landing’s preferred vet in this area for a necropsy. I will let you all know as soon as I know. We are devastated, as we had come to love her in just a week and a half. We believe she may have been very sick before she came to us and since I didn’t really know her personality, it was hard to tell when she was acting off. Aside from the squawking, everything was fine last night. She ate her veggies, came out to play and even attacked my feet. We miss her dearly, but our main concern now is our other birds because we do not know what caused this since she was so young. Please know that I have went over every aspect of the last two weeks and I cannot imagine it was anything on my part but the necropsy will tell us.
