How do i get rid of fleas that originated in a lactating cat and her babies in a home with 2 birds??? mom cannot be treated with veterinary strength flea prevention and i dont want to use harmful chemicals near the birds...THANKS!!!!

Non-toxic way to control fleas in your house, place a lamp on the floor with a pan of water under it. Fleas jump toward the light because of the heat it gives off, and drown in the water.
