Finally completed making a bird stand.

I mixed few of the designs I liked on internet and made this bird stand. My birds are afraid of it right now and doesn't spend more than few minutes on it. Hope they start liking this monster. Oh and I have smaller the size of the zip tie (even though it's bigger in picture) so my birds head doesn't get in there by any chance.

Thank you all! My birdies are still not getting used to it and my tiel now bits me whenever I try to make him sit on the stand. Even with treats it doesn't work. Hope he gets used to it someday.

Have you tried tying a bit of birdie crack(Millet) to the stand?
Will always work for my flock if they are extra nervous about a new toy.

I always have it in my hand and I keep my hand on the stand to show him that if he steps on the stand I will give it to him. It worked the first time I was trying to make him go on stand, but never worked later. I will try hanging it this time to see if he goes on his own.

It could be the bright colors. It could be the feel of the vet tape. Try taking a couple of leftover pieces of PVC pipe and wrap one of them in vet tape and leave the other one plain and put it near or in their cage. See if they get used to that first.

I know how you feel, two Christmases ago my mom got Blue his first play gym (she's a doting birdie grandma) and he still won't go on it. No amount of bribery worked. My Blue is a stubborn little guy.

That being said, I am still hopeful and I bet your birds will love the stand that you made because yours is gorgeous. I saw the pictures and my jaw dropped, like this
