Hi I have a pair of budgies. Their names are Miley and Billy. Miley had cough a few days ago but now she is alright I didn't take her to the vet because I provided medicines by myself. Now I see Billy coughing again. What is the problem? He is preening, eating, drinking and playing properly but I see tail bobbing too. They both take naps off and on during the day. I don't think that is a problem but they play most of the time at the bottom of the cage. Please help me

Are you able to get Miley and Billy to the vet?
I would advise the vet which medicine you administered, when, and how much.
Until then, try to keep the environment as calm as possible for them.
Try to see if they are eating and drinking.

we are not veterinarians and cannot diagnose your birds. We can only give you advice as to how to nurse your birds until you can get them to a vet for tests to determine if and what they have.

Even a qualified vet would have a hard time diagnosing and recommending a treatment plan based on your post, I'm afraid. Many illnesses manifest with similar symptoms, and as birds are fantastic at suppressing symptoms, it makes it that much harder.

What kind of medication did you use?
