in 2006 my 40" HQ had no odor....was awesome, but the 32" HQ smelled so awful i had to put it outdoors for sun use.
Am needing to buy a 32" powdercoat again and was wondering if things have changed
if it smells i can't use it

are they the same color Saroj?

I have a 36" HQ green purchased in Jan 2009 (assuming it is 2008 model) and a 40" "bronze" purchased in 2010

neither of which have any odor

the bigger ones have a different finish....
the 32" bars are skinnier and the paint is different

wait! Sugar has a 26" HQ purchased in 2009 in platinum

is that similar to the finish/bar size of the 32"?

most likely!
also i am trying to decide why she laid few eggs in the 28" dometop and many many in the 32" higher floor playtop.
is it the top style? the cage floor height? the width?
:confused::confused::confused:

the 28" AA is rusty

Saroj, I know a few people that said their Featherlands had sharp edges. I actually just bought the 2718 for Charles though, in powdercoat though because I have heard a few complaints about the quality of their stainless cages.

I think the dometop vs playtop could be the problem. Many times, play tops cast shadows in the cage, making it darker and more "nest like" a bigger size would also be better.
Have you considered putting an extra UV light above Emily to make her cage brighter? It would also help her absorb more calcium for all those eggs she's been laying.

Gumby started out in a Dome Top Avian Adventure Nina cage she was in it for about a year and half. Laid her normal one egg every so often - ignored it - or used it as a soccer ball like always

Since she's been in the Avian Adventure Nina Playtop She has laid eggs more frequently (not a lot but closer together than normal) and 1 egg she laid on the playtop and SAT on it for weeks! She would not get off of it until I finally put her in her cage and locked up all ways of her getting out (I did not know she could get the breeder door off - it didn't have a bolt in it, she never messed with it - We left for about 2 hrs I put them in their cages closed the doors like always - we came home to her sitting on her egg! she's never actually incubated an egg since I've had her. until she got the play top cage - but thankfully that was so far the only time and the last egg she's laid and that was probably 4 months ago

but if she lays an egg in her cage (rather it was the dome top or play top) she never pays attention to it, The only time she paid attention to it was when she laid it in the tray of the play top cage.

just ordered it

30x21 folding ss...she only had green and black ...no go

Coco, had heard folding has those thick bars along the sides making climbing difficult. But Miss Emily is just going to have to deal with it because the RTA (ready to assemble) is being obsoleted and I wouldn't be able to get replacement panels and such for it. (golden cockatoo told me about the RTA info)

Merlie thanks for the link to birdtoy outlet ! Sharon there was very nice and I feel very assured she will take care of manufacturer issues at her expense not mine :D

Actually I got an RTA too but I was under the impression folding was preferable for whatever reason. Thanks!!
