I know that Monster the DYN likes them. He gets on his swing beak grinds and mumbles to himself.

My LCA sits on the top of his swing, slides down until he’s almost horizontal, then climbs up and does it again! He repeats for hours. Occasionally he’ll sit on the actual swing perch part

Whay kind do you have?

I bought 2 several years ago but then didn't put them in the cage because they have plastic sides. I was told the birds would fall off with no side to grip with their beak.

My BFA does not use his swing. My YNA doesn't have one. I'm thinking of taking the BFA's swing out of his cage and trying it with the nape.

My 35 year old BFA hates swings. I put one in the cage once, and he gave it the evil Amazon eye for two days until I took it out. Wouldn't go near it.
You just never know.

My two have had them in their cages years ago and never used them. Kazoo chewed the wood pieces on the sides.

Hoosier doesn't even care about a boing! Go figure, Kazoo uses his going just while eating lol. I may try again, to see if they might try one.

Great question!

I think it depends on if they were introduced to them when young and used them. If not, they tend to be nervous about wobbly perches. I have some that swing and some that don’t. Most of mine use the boing on their play gym but I haven’t put swings in the Amazon cages. My one amazon that hates swings was my first baby that I raised and it didn’t occur to me to give her a swing when she was young.
