Yes, that is a lot of cutting and it gets made first before it is dipped or whatever the process is!

does he have to electropolish before or can he do it after he welds?

That's a lot of tubing. :D

okay i asked him last night about the electropolishing....he says he will polish, not electropolish. The latter requires dipping in acid and he worries some will be left behind in spots the birds can access. He says he polishes it very thoroughly and the finish can be maintained with emery paper. An electropolished cage cannot be made to recover once the sheen deteriorates.

I was gonna PM you and ask you how much that cost, cause I was thinking that would be around $1,000-$1,500 extra. :lol:

I think hand polished is the way to go, I would also worry about electropolishing changing the structure of the stainless steel.

i'm happy with polished!
Yesterday I was dremeling sharp points off a ss Featherland i just got without eye protection and of course got ss dust in my eyes :eek:. I told John about it and he says not only does he wear goggles he also uses a respirator when he grinds and polishes!
