Also, for comments like "disgusting" and "eww", I hope some of these birds followed her home... Or at least bombarded her car with poops

Those look like Grackles to me.

I would be amazed and in awe, and my mother would be terrified

I would put money on thousands. I love when they all rise from the building at the same time, they almost black out the sky!

I remember watching Shawn visit the rookery in a video to look for Canuck.. there was hundreds of crows there.

the birds couldn't find seeds in walmart and now they're pissed... the end is near

Those look like juvenile Ravens that do flock and travel for a couple of years after leaving their parents. You can tell they are Ravens by their tails. They are raucous undisciplined youngsters and adults will run them off when possible.


Ravens don't mate until 3+ years old and until they do they fly in mobs and like so many teenagers wreak havoc wherever they go. This parking lot is probably a good food source for them as Ravens will eat ANYTHING. Sometimes for reasons unknown by us, yet, they will gather in huge groups like this just to socialize for a few hours and then the go elsewhere.
