Crop burn??

Is this crop burn?? I've been meticulous about measuring the heat of formula with a digital candy thermometer. If it is crop burn I guess I'll be calling my vet, but I just wanted others' opinion's and recommendations. Sorry for the bad photo.

I called my vet. He said he could swing by tomorrow. Just the dark spot on her neck next to her crop.

Crop burn usually is more internal before external symptoms show,, bloody poo and vomiting can be a sign of it.

some questions- are you talking about the dark spot between the separation of pin feathers from the neck to the body? it's kind of purplish ?

I think what you are looking at is blood flowing thru the bird's veins. but if you are worried please see avian vet.

Great call. Always err on the side of caution. Glad the vet is going to take a look at it. Crop burn isn't to be taken lightly (which you obviously know).
