Crest featherd

Hi all.

My boy Is around 8 months old and is molting a little which is fine but I'm concerned about his crest feathers. They seem to be 'thinning'. I can see some hollow shafts on his crest without the feather. Is this cause for concern?

I think if you zoom in they might actually be new feathers? I'm not sure

Yeah, those look like new pinfeathers that are coming in and the sheath just needs to come off
