This is the cookbook I have been recommending, it has some excellent recipes and you can direct part of the proceeds to Phoenix Landing. In my opinion, it is a must have for any parrot lover...

I use a cookbook made by my club Wasatch Avian Education Society. I really like it.

I don't use any cookbook (the only food that we prepared for Dante de Rose is sweet potato - we boiled the sweet potato. The rest, we serve them fresh with Harrison's pallets. He doesn't eat them all, but some he does).

I enjoy cooking for my birds, it's therapy! Keep in mind, we strive to prevent boredom in the lives of our companion parrots and dietary boredom can be a stressor as well in my opinion. Consider a bird in its natural environment—not all foods are available on a day-to-day basis, and we need to consider that as another form of enrichment for our birds.
