Constant beak movement?

Hey,

Got a second lovebird recently, but this one seems to like to chew a lot on various stuff and also has this constant (well, not always, but a lot of the time) movement that it makes with its beak.
Any thoughts on what it could be or mean?

I don't know it really means anything. Could just be an individual quirk.

Scoby does a variation of this. Like a near-constant chewing of some imaginary thing. Twinkie sometimes makes repetitive beak motions as well, almost like the bird version of someone chewing on their lip.

Happy does it too!! i was very worried about it since hopi does not do it but when i took her to the vet regarding it the vet said there doesn't seem to be anything in her mouth to bother her and make those movements so i guess it's just a quirk of hers

My GCC Watson does this. I was worried at first so I started watching carefully and it seems that when he has raspberries or millet (something with tiny seeds) he keeps one seed and plays with it with his tongue, moving all around his beak like he is chewing gum.

Now to just figure out how to stop him/her from trying to pick apart all the clothes, fabrics, hair (both on the body and head) and just any dark spots on the skin.

Do you have toys for him to destroy? Balsa, cork, seagrass, etc.
