It’s not unusual for one bird to chew on a toxic item when out of the cage and all of the others to not come in contact with it.
A breeder lost an eclectus because that one bird found a piece of pewter wedged into the back of a shelf and chewed on it. There were only TWO beak marks so it took very little to kill the bird.
I’m assuming they get out of the cage?
Other things could be diet related. What do your tiels eat daily? Do you have house plants? Do you have cats? Have you checked their toys for toxic metals? Do they ever put your jewelry in their mouths ( like chew on a necklace or even the clasp of a bracelet) ? Gnawed any wood work? What cage are they in etc?
