G'day!
Just a quick hello from us here in Australia. I have a 4 y.o black headed caique named Chester who is my absolute world and I wanted to join a forum of like-minded crazy bird people to share my experiences/adventures, trials and tribulations with him and learn more! There's just something so special about bird people, and we are often as rare over here as the exotic parrots we own.
No one I speak to, or show Chester to on our outings (he's velcro'd to me 24/7, my best mate and licenced therapy animal) even knows what a BHC is! I have to explain with unwavering enthusiasm (gets a little old sometimes when every second person wants to know what he is because they don't know birds) where he's from, how old, "does he talk" etc.
But I wouldn't have it any other way. He helps me talk to new people and get over my social anxiety.
He has seen and done a lot with me in his short 4 years and I hope there are many more to come.
