Absolutely! I'm trying to get Rupert used to bigger toys. Even ones smaller than his head scare him. He has done some damage to a fence toy and a large cork perch so I'm hopeful that he will brave a basket!

My guys were like that too, the cork perches are awesome and are usually destroyed within a week or two. Keep trying - Rupert will like them eventually
