Long weekend here in South Africa, so I'm off home to see the mad gang in Capetown. ( Lots of pix on the way over the weekend)
I'm staying in a rented apartment here in the big city, but my landlord says I can bring some birdies back to stay with me.
HMM such a hard decision to make. Its a ground floor apartment in a heavily wooded residential area, still there ARE limits.
So I think it must be Cha_Cha and Fingers. Its almost breeding season and Its about time she laid a successful clutch. She's 5 now. I think the change and the peace and quiet (i.e. lack of crazy screaming neighbours) will do the pair good.
So I bought a large cage last night, not as big as their flight, but lets face it, they will be out with me every evening anyway lol. Now to fit their nestbox and lots of bottlebrush for climbing. Plus some mechanism to keep those 3 LARGE food doors caique proof.
I have the perfect spot to place it, right by a big window in the flat, where they can look out on trees and threaten the local wild birdies lol
So now the long drive , 12 hours each way. Hmm ill consider putting them on a flight.
Anyway watch this space!
