Love this ceiling fan ,no more worries about Bird injuries or fatalities with this type of fan. I can keep it running when their out ,even the little birds are safe. It's in a cage like a floor fan.

Its metal, have to take notice of what kind of metal parts used. It's very heavy, heavier that a regular ceiling fan and tilts for direction of air flow.
