Hey guys. Calypso is growing in his flight feathers and tail feathers. He doesn't have all his feathers but is still falling to the ground like a stone when trying to fly. Does he need more feathers or needs to learn to fly again? TIA

...yes, he getting those good feathers coming in. 
They're still a little small...that will make Calypso's flying a little more choppy...and I imagine his landings are a little rough. Buddy the Conure was the same way as his feathers grew back...he still barrel-rolls his landings at times...

Those flight feathers will grow towards his tail, touching it. Look at any cockatiel photo from a profile or side and you will see what I mean. Sure is a cute name for a cute bird.

He's about 4 to 5 months
He is only trying to fly on the bed to stop him from hurting himself then he drops. He did manage to hover for a couple of seconds after I posted this

He probably needs a bit of both.... more feathers to better control his flight and practice to help develop his flight muscles.
