Cage Upgrade!

It arrived today!!!!
I ordered a new cage for Pickle (King's flight cage) and was so excited to put it together...after I slowly got the 53lb box up the stairs. I wanted to set it up before my husband got home and this was his reaction....

It was a long wait, but I'm so excited to give Pickle a bigger home! Can't wait to let him check it out after I do some more shopping to make it a bit more homey.

53 lbs...you are strong but be careful as accidents can happen & you don;t want to fall to the bottom of the stairs & have the kings cage land on you.

I once was strong too & did some stupid things & once in my late years (late 40;s)
I wrestled a huge orange clay mexican planter to my apt & hurt my back & it hurt for a few years when ever I bent too long...

Pickles will love all his new real estate.

Thanks everyone! The funniest part about this was that I told my husband that I upgraded the cage and showed it to him. Guess he didn't read the dimensions Thankfully he's awesome and totally understands why we needed a bigger cage. Oh! And don't worry @camelotshadow my stairs have a nice landing, so I took my sweet old time. I didn't want the box falling on me

Pickles has already been curious about the cage, so we check it out together for a few minutes. When I put a few favorite toys and treats, I know it will be a bit more enticing. I'm letting him get used to it at his own pace. Don't want to freak him out! Lol

I love that cage! I recently upgraded my tiel's cage too but it's not as beautiful as yours. I know Pickles will love his new home.

It's been a slow transition, but he LOVES the new cage! Everyday we would visit the new cage together...then one day he went in and decided that he didn't want to leave! I don't blame him Now time to move his favorite toys and cuttlebones to the new place!
