Some of the ingredients bother me a bit. One of the recipes calls for grit, and another calls for canned garbanzo beans, which are very high in sodium even for people. A few other ingredients that I dislike for birds that are in the recipes are soy sauce, shortening, canned fruit in juice, margarine, Honey Grahams, and cheddar goldfish. The recipes are a good place to start, I would just switch some of the ingredients.
