Budgie breeding/incubation questions......

My Little "HunnyBun" is getting so big!! She is 28 days old....4 weeks old....officially 1 month old today!!! (Pics were taken at bedtime so a bit dark)

She has figured out how to perch on the door of her nest box & loves to be held!! Her favorite things are getting cheek scratches & snuggles!!

My Little HunnyBun's favorite place is the enterance of her box now......mom & dad feed her here too! I've added millet inside her box for her to explore but mom just throws it out so now I hang it outside the box where Baby can reach it so she can play & learn to eat!


So now that Baby is getting so big, at what point do I remove the box altogether?

AkiYouko is 6 weeks old tonight (6 Oct). 42 days old! I have moved mom (Robyn) out to the flight with the other budgies because she started picking on her. Dad (Loshi) still feeds her daily even though she is starting to eat on her own! She loves to be out & flies pretty well! When I put her bake she rushes up my arm before the door is shut & if I manage to get the door shut she kinda panics climbing all over following me around begging to come out! Youko has turned into such a beauty! Her color is so vivid & bold while her cheek patches are white!
