Bobber Contact Calls; Jingo won't answer

A lot of times if we go out after Dobby has decided to be up and wanting to interact we leave the radio or TV on so he has something to listen to or pay attention to. Luckily it's just him but he can still contact call when he gets upset that he knows we are leaving. He has favorite spots to hang out or chew up too and hoping to get some more play stands and things so he has plces to hang out with us.
Sounds like you're getting on the right track and things will get better.

Rearranged things in the dining room today; instead of cages being next to each other, I put them on opposite sides of the room, as I read an article that made me think some space between territories may help in the hormone department. If nothing else it's more open and gives me more horizontal space to work with. View attachment 274040

And it looks really nice! I'm glad the piano music is helping. Sounds like if that ever stops working you have lots of options with that new-fangled radio, too!

So new set up seems to help. Bobber has full run of the back wall of the dining room so he can adjust his position to see us better, and he can also see out both windows easier. If he starts screaming heavily for Jingo, I make Jingo go back to the dining room to check in for a few minutes.

We've all been into the Instrumental Pop Covers playlist on Spotify lately too - I think it helps all of our nerves

It's not perfect, I don't expect perfection, but we are a much better place today than we were just a few weeks ago!

All birds make noise but if you get it to a dull roar and everyone is fairly happy that is definitely a good thing. Lurch used to get frustrated and SCREAM or do the I'm very upset KACK! KACK! KACK! that pionus do when really upset, he'd do it even when I was right next to him. I think he was afraid he'd loose yet another family and as he got more comfortable and happy with me and we started to trust each other the screaming greatly reduced and sometimes answering him or just leaving worked. I think he realized screaming wasn't working and he wasn't going anywhere and got content with his lot in life.

Ermm, I think you might actually loose your mind at the cheekie house. Now that more people are out and about in the neighborhood, the birds believe we are essentially going to be at any moment apparently...oiy...all day long. We added a door from the kitchen but I need to sound proof it.

Added the playtop to Bobber's cage and rolling it into the living room today as my next approach.

My next issue is he is in love with my husband... but bites the snot out of him without warning :/
